The Spokane Weavers Guild meets on the second Tuesday of the month from September until June. We meet at the Orchard Crest Retirement Community at 222 S. Evergreen, Spokane Valley, at 6:00 p.m. From the interstate, take the Evergreen exit south passing through the Sprague intersection. Orchard Crest is one block south of Sprague on the east side. We meet in the meeting room on the top floor right across from the elevator. So that members can have additional time to browse, the Guild Library opens a few minutes before each meeting. Our meetings start with a discussion of the guild business, a sharing of recent works by members followed by a program given by a guest presenter or a guild member. Topics covered include handweaving, felting, spinning, basket making, and a variety of other subjects connected to the fiber arts. Meetings are informal, relaxed events where all levels can participate. Occasionally we meet at a different location, so please contact guild membership prior to attending your first meeting to confirm date, place and time. If, after your first complimentary meeting you decide you would like join our guild, membership is $25.00 per year. This fee includes all meetings, study group participation, preference on registration to all workshops, access to the extensive Guild Library, voluntary involvement in Guild sponsored exhibits and demonstrations. WE WELCOME YOU TO A COMPLEMENTARY MEETING |
