Judy’s 4 shaft, counterbalance loom houndstooth colour-and-weave effect yardage for a sweater.

Judy O. writes:

Lori R’s Suri alpaca, processed at the Post Falls fiber facility, woven in Spokane.
Truly a fibershed product, locally grown and produced.

The pinstripes are dyed with frozen, fallen English walnut leaves which came out an acceptable match for the natural alpaca fawn color.
The dyers study group gave me confidence to commit this special fiber to the dye pot, and Sandra’s recent presentation on using a temple/stretcher gave me the support to relax about working with the new temple. This scarf is a re-creation of one I had in The Sale. I had profit enough to buy more yarn, thank you all very much!
