Judy’s Double Binding Rugs

Judy’s current project, to offset this chilly winter, is a series of small rugs.
using a jack floor loom. Weave technique is double binding, often used for rag rugs.
For fillers she is using cotton rag strips, teeshirt yarn, Pendleton wool scraps, or acrylic, four ply knitting yarns.
They have each woven up well, thick and stable.
The warp is a heavy linen sett at 4 to the inch.

She notes; “As usual with my projects, this final piece is the most complicated one, taking more time to weave than any of the others. This is a good stash reduction project, soaks up quite a bit of weft.”
