November 15, 16 & 17 at Blue Flag Handweaving Studio in Sandpoint, Idaho.
This course provides an introduction to loom controlled-lace weaves (Huck, Swedish lace, Bronson, etc.) Four- and eight-shaft looms will be threaded with different lace weaves. Students will weave samples in a round robin format, gaining firm understanding of lace structures and exploring the use of positive and negative space as design elements.
This class is for advanced beginner or intermediate level weavers. Students will be provided warping materials and warping instructions in order to bring their pre-warped looms to class. Looms may also be rented and pre-warped at Blue Flag Handweaving Studio during the three days prior to the course.
