Spokane Handweavers' Guild Hall
Weave a useful tote basket using flat reed and birch bark as well as fabric handles with basketry instructor Olivia Giannasi from Priest River, Idaho. Gain an appreciation for handcrafted baskets while learning to weave various patterns and other design features such as rims.
This one-day class is suitable for all experience levels including beginners with no prior basket weaving experience.
Olivia has been teaching basket weaving at Create Arts Center in Newport, WA since 2000. In March 2017 she taught at Log Cabin Fiber Arts’ annual Spin-in in Coeur d’Alene where her classes quickly filled and were very well received.
Cost is $65. for SHG members and $75. for non-members. Class size is limited.
